
Jessica Hoctor joined PAYETTE in 2018 with extensive healthcare experience. Currently she is a Project Architect on a 300 bed Cancer Hospital leading clinical planning for Diagnostic Imaging and Observation. Her responsibilities also include managing and designing the future technologies that will be integrated into the hospital to enhance Patient and Staff experience.
Previously she was the Project Manager for all of PAYETTE’s work at Yale New Haven Health’s two campuses—Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, CT and Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island. This includes leading multiple teams through design and construction on extensive complex renovations for Emergency Departments, Diagnostic Imaging and Surgical Services, among others. Jessica is also responsible for the design of seven resident floors in the new net zero Skilled Nursing Facility for the Veterans’ Home in Holyoke.
Jessica is also leading the Aging and Space Research Group, focusing on design spaces for those with visual impairments. She is also part of the research team at PAYETTE developing Adaptable Team Stations, leveraging her expertise in healthcare design to support the team through design and fabrication.
