Project Update: CILSE at Boston University

We’re excited to share a bit of information about our project at Boston University, the Center for Integrated Life Sciences and Engineering (CILSE). The new building will bridge disciplines across the sciences with a state-of-the-art nine-story research facility. With lab space for approximately 160 researchers, postdoctoral students and staff as well as 270 graduate students and room for future growth, the underlying goal is to bring the sciences together under one roof. The key word with this project, like many of our projects, is collaboration. As such, the other main key ingredient is flexibility. We are working to create lab spaces large enough for optimum flexibility. Furthermore, to promote serendipitous connections throughout the building, there will be a number of common areas and open, inviting stairways connecting these spaces.
