Nicholas joined Payette in 2007 after graduating magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Architecture. Since joining the firm he has worked on the Princeton Frick Chemistry Building, the CNS Teaching and Research Greenhouse at UMass Amherst and the New Science Center at Amherst College. Over the past six years, Nicholas has taught studio and design principles courses at the Boston Architectural College primarily with first year students and remains active as a studio critic.
