Planning for Change: Growing Enrollment and STEM Programs With Limited Space
University of North Carolina (UNC) at Charlotte decided to use the planning of a new science building as an opportunity to refresh its approach to planning and priorities. We’ll discuss how we used planning as a tool to get space needs, academic and research needs, and finances to the table to find a solution that best supports the institution. Our process helped us make smart choices with limited space and financial resources while using cross-departmental needs to guide decisions about academic priorities and capital investments.
