Next month Michael Hinchcliffe and Jeffrey R. Zynda will present at the Tradeline: Animal Research Facilities Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. Will you be there?
Session Title: What the cagewash paradigm shift is doing to capital and operating costs
Presentation: Monday, December 3, 1:15 pm – 2:10 pm | Tuesday, December 4, 1:45 pm — 2:40 pm
Conventional assumptions about cagewash space allocation, throughput, and energy consumption are being overturned by new criteria for sustainability, cost reduction, and labor efficiency; by the new equipment options; and by new facility design concepts that take advantage of high-efficiency solutions. Here, Michael Hinchcliffe and Jeff Zynda demonstrate high-ROI decisions and concepts that match equipment selection to the new performance requirements, and they identify often-overlooked early project decisions that can make or break institutional commitments to sustainability. They also examine the new cage wash features that are intended to improve the working environment for support staff.
