Over the next several weeks the PAYETTE interiors department will share interiors-related inspiration. Each day we target a specific interiors-related topic and share it via Twitter using the hashtag #interiors. At the end of each week we’ll collect the links here. We hope you’ll find some inspiration, new ideas and great new sources. And we hope you’ll share your great interior moments with us.
Monday, 3/16: The next next bright idea (Gina Mosca)
The next next thing in lighting, OLED (organic LED) fixtures use flexible, cooler-running LED light sources with carbon-based emitters instead of the conventional silicon based devices. French company Blackbody has stunning designs which demonstrate the almost otherworldly aesthetics achievable with these light sources.
Tuesday, 3/17: Ping-Pong Apartment (Amber Ghory, IIDA, LEED AP)
To celebrate the spirit of the Burro/Ping-Pong game tournaments coming up, I’d like to share this cool post about this teeny tiny apartment by Snarkitecture made with 25,000 ping pong balls!
Wednesday, 3/18: More than Functional Window Treatments (Erin Polansky, IIDA, LEED AP)
Here’s a functional window treatment by Noon Blinds that becomes an ornamental screens washing a room in light patterns.
Thursday, 3/19: For Students, by Students (Amanda Holmen, MSLIS)
Check out this chair designed by a student for students at Purdue University, featured in Metropolis Magazine (February 2015).
Friday, 3/20: Celtic Knot Lounger (Mary Gallagher, IIDA, LEED AP)
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day this week, check out the celtic knot inspired lounge furniture.
Check back next week for more interiors resources and inspiration, or follow along throughout the week with @PAYETTEpeople and the hashtag #interiors.
