We are excited to announce the move of our FabLAB into a new space in Boston’s Seaport that is closer to our office and is much larger than our former space in Charlestown.
Making is in PAYETTE’s DNA. Our design process heavily invests in fabrication and making in a range scales – from full size mock-ups to the smallest artful detail – and everything in between. These models and artifacts are used as tools for creative generation as well as for representation and we believe that this hands-on exploration of shapes, textures, materials and details is a critical component of design.
The new FabLAB officially opened last week. Students who are in the Virginia Tech OpenLAB studio embedded in PAYETTE’s office during their fall semester were the first to take a tour.
We are thrilled about the new space and are ready to start having some fun!
