We are pleased to announce both Wendy Wooden and our video collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital for Children (MGHfC), “You Are Here: Wendy’s Welcome to the ED,” have been recognized by the 2016 Patients’ View Impact Awards. The Patients’ View Institute (PVI) is a non-profit organization committed to organizing and amplifying the patient voice. They are particularly interested in the patient perspective and its impact on the quality of care in the healthcare environment. The Patients’ View Impact Awards were presented at the annual meeting of The Leapfrog Group yesterday. This awards program is the only national award that highlights the power that patients can have in changing healthcare for the better.
Wendy received the Patients’ View Impact Award, which honors a patient’s story and is judged by the story’s potential to have a positive impact on improving any aspect of healthcare. Wendy received this award due to her work on “You Are Here: Wendy’s Welcome to the ED.” In addition to recognizing Wendy, PVI decided to recognize PAYETTE’s contribution to the project with the first ever Patient Champion Award. This award highlights the firm’s donation of over 1,000 staff hours, working closely with Wendy and creating original elements to enhance the video. We are honored to see Wendy and the video acknowledged in this way.
