Payette’s Kristyn Hill is one of of four finalists chosen out of 400+ entries for the 2012 Mannington Commercial tx:style design challenge! The competition invited any architect or interior designer to “summon your inspiration, sharpen your ideas and create your designs” by submitting carpet design concepts. Finalists were chosen based on a panel of judges, public votes, aesthetics, creativity, and manufacturability. Inspired by the material that carpet samples are usually shipped in–cardboard–Kristyn’s design can compliment a variety of spaces due to the linearity of the pattern, while still offering a little bit of “organic chaos”.
Kristyn will represent Payette and be featured in a national advertising campaign, participate in a two-day Design Workshop in NYC, and will present her carpet design at NeoCon World’s Fair in Chicago where the Grand Prize Winner will be announced. The winner will travel to the International Furniture Fair in Milan and create a full carpet collection to be manufactured and marketed by Mannington.
