A trip to the Emergency Department is stressful for patients, particularly for children. At a time that feels tense and chaotic, how can architects contribute to easing a child’s experience? PAYETTE partnered with Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and its Family Advisory Council to bring a multi-media tool to the pediatric Emergency Department experience. This project demonstrates how architecture firms can stretch their skills to enhance and promote well-being among our community’s most vulnerable members. Join PAYETTE and MGHfC to celebrate the premiere of “Wendy’s Welcome to the ED.” Hear from the creative team behind the video and the medical staff who are using it with their patients.
Last month we launched “You Are Here: Wendy’s Welcome to the ED” with MGHfC and this month we are thrilled to share the process behind this project and some of the impact the pediatric ED staff is already seeing.
