It is through our firm’s collaborative efforts that we have established a practice of innovation and invention that pushes programmatic, sustainability and design boundaries. With great pleasure we announce the advancement of four staff members promoted to Manager. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating their achievements.
Adam E. Anderson, ASLA, LEED AP
Promoted to Manager of Landscape Architecture
Adam joined PAYETTE in 2015 as a Landscape Architect and had an immediate impact in the design of the firm’s most significant landscape work, including the Boston Children’s Hospital project in Waltham, the Science Center at Williams College and the Integrated Science Center at Lafayette College. Most recently, Adam played a key role in the signature landscape-based design of the Fifth XiangYa Hospital in Changsha, China. For the past five years he’s taught design studios in the RISD Landscape Architecture Graduate Department.
Adam received his B.S. in Landscape Architecture from the Ohio State University and his M.LA from RISD.
David Hamel
Promoted to 3D Visualization Group Manager
David joined PAYETTE in 2005 as a 3D Visualization Designer, and has been a key member of the group, continually elevating the quality of the work. Beyond supporting the firm’s projects through production of conventional visualization, David engages the design teams throughout the design process through exploration, generation and implementation of design representation in a variety of modes. He also presented at the Autodesk University Conference on integrating virtual reality technology into a firm’s design process.
David received his Bachelor of Applied Science from Expression College for Digital Arts in California.
Lauren Hickey
Promoted to Marketing Manager
Lauren joined PAYETTE in 2016 as a Marketing Coordinator. With over six years of experience in the A/E/C industry, she works on a wide variety of marketing and communications projects from concept to final completion including proposals, design awards and conference abstracts. She also helps produce content for the firm’s blog, website and social media channels. Lauren currently serves on the SMPS Boston Special Events Committee, developing and advancing the Boston chapter’s education and networking opportunities.
Lauren received her B.A. in Marketing from Mount Ida College in Newton.
Parke MacDowell, AIA
Promoted to Fabrication Manager
Parke joined PAYETTE in 2015 and has spearheaded the firm’s fabrication initiatives, enabling PAYETTE to enhance the design process through model work and full-size mock-up constructions. He led the development of our Charlestown Fabrication Space, and is training our design staff to become safe and skillful in the use of our diverse arsenal of tools. His passion is opening doors of exploration for our design teams and elevating the depth and quality of our investigation.
Parke received his B.A. in Engineering and Studio Art from Dartmouth College and his M.Arch. from the University of Michigan.
