Check out the Boston Globe article highlighting five things to do around Boston August 6-12 including Beyond Wall Mural Festival, a project PAYETTE is proud to be involved with. Beyond Walls aims to improve walkability, and increase sense of place and safety in the heart of downtown Lynn with underpass lighting and throughout the city’s business district, a sculpture that pays homage to Lynn’s industrial roots, as well as murals in the heart of Lynn’s Transformative Development Initiative District.
As part of the successful campaign, the Beyond Walls Mural Festival returns to Lynn, which gained 15 large-scale works of art during last year’s inaugural event. This year’s slate includes 18 artists from 13 countries painting new murals around the city as well as dozens of related programs, including mixed-media pop-ups. Check out the Beyond Walls website to learn about the daily events during the festival, and will conclude on August 18 with a street fair with live music from 1 to 9 p.m on Mt. Vernon Street.
