The most recent issue of DesignAlabama highlighted University of Alabama Comprehensive Cancer Center in their feature, “Renovating for Clarity & Light.” The article explores the enhanced visibility of the center as well as the transformation inside the building, which brings transparency throughout the building.
Joel Blackstock of Williams Blackstock Architect, the associated architect, said of the project, “We essentially took a can opener to that bland brick box and refitted with a glass-enclosed, two-story lobby.”
