Alabama Media Group recently featured our newly expanded and renovated UAB School of Nursing building. The planning and programming for the expansion of the UAB School of Nursing began in early 2013, and the official groundbreaking took place in 2015. The original School of Nursing Building was constructed in 1971 with an addition added in 1992.
As stated in the article, there are over 2,000 students currently enrolled in the UAB nursing program. PAYETTE was tasked with developing a design that could accommodate the growing student body and the technological needs of the school. The expansion and renovation included new construction and renovation of the existing space. All of the new classrooms and labs have full digital and wireless technologies.
