We are excited to announce that Williams Blackstock Architects and PAYETTE have been selected to design the renovation/addition for the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing Building. Since the School of Nursing was first constructed in 1971, the student population has grown in excess of 300%, while the faculty and staff population has grown in excess of 100%. The project will expand space for the current student and faculty population and allow for future growth in enrollment and programming, which will integrate high technology, digital learning solutions and nursing-specific simulation.
This is not the first time we’ve teamed with Williams Blackstock for work on the UAB campus. In addition to the Wallace Tumor Institute, our firms co-authored the precursory programming and planning study for the School of Nursing addition/renovation. We are thrilled to continue our work on this campus and our partnership with Williams Blackstock.
