What is the best part of your job?
Collaborating with the team to find innovative solutions during construction is incredibly rewarding and keeps my mind constantly engaged. The best part of my job is the constant challenge of solving design problems, both technical and aesthetic.
What projects have you worked on and are currently working on?
I am currently contributing to the exciting renovations at Boston Children’s Hospital’s Waltham campus and the Yale New Haven Hospital’s New London campus. I have prior experience with these renowned institutions, having previously collaborated on projects for their other campuses.
I have also had minor involvements in some of our other healthcare projects including the Veterans’ Home in Holyoke.
What is the most important thing you have learned so far?
My early career has shown me that successful architecture relies on strong collaboration. Understanding the needs and perspectives of clients, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders, and integrating design intent is key to creating successful projects.
If you could take a month-long trip anywhere, where would you go and why?
Visiting inland Antarctica has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember.
