The soul of our practice resides in its people, and we are always looking for ways to cultivate emerging talent and professionals. We really enjoy our active internship program that brings multiple interns to join our team throughout the year for typically a semester at time. Today, we wanted to introduce some of our interns working alongside us this summer.
Hi there! I am a Boston native currently enrolled in Syracuse University’s B.Arch program, with a minor in Economics. Last year, I studied abroad in Europe, where I discovered my love for traveling and was fascinated by the unique characteristics of each city I visited. Budapest was one of my favorites! As I am entering my fifth-year, my thesis year, I am interested in studying the roles of architecture and economics in the development of cities and urban environments. I am planning to focus my thesis on hyperdensity, studying how the mixture of social and economic groups affects the built world around us and our interactions in it.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, listening to true crime podcasts and visiting breweries with my family!
My name is Esteban Estrella and I am from Mexico. I studied a Bachelor of Architecture at Tecnologico de Monterrey back in my hometown of Hermosillo. After graduating I worked for a year at a local firm, leading the design of several small-scale residential, commercial and office buildings. Being born in the desert, I became very interested in sustainable design, especially in passive solutions for extreme climates, which is why I am currently studying a Master in Design Studies with a concentration in Energy and Environments at the Harvard GSD.
In my free time I like to read science fiction novels, travel and go hiking whenever I can which is not as often as I would like. I also try to go to as many concerts and music festivals as I can.
I was born in Shenyang, China and immigrated to the United States at age nine. I am currently attending Clemson University working towards a M.Arch degree in Architecture + Health which will allow me to pursue a career in healthcare design. Prior to joining the healthcare concentration, I worked for the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD as the inhouse junior Planner/Designer and for the American Institute of Architects in Washington D.C. as junior consultant.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, being a foodie, horseback riding, hiking, sailing and spending time with my family and friends in Maryland.
Hi everyone! My name is Marina Sosner and I’m originally from Hawaii. I’m a co-op intern from Northeastern University and will be graduating this spring with a Bachelor’s of Science in Architectural Studies with a concentration in Real Estate Development. I got interested in architecture through my parents’ work; they are both broker’s and every time I saw a property they were selling or managing I would immediately begin redesigning it in my head. I love good food, movies and basketball.
I’m a junior at Plymouth State University, working towards a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. Back when my career plan was pretty hazy, a friend who is studying to be a graphics engineer suggested I look into something I hadn’t considered before, and introduced me to the world of programming and computer science. Since joining the CS department at my school, I’ve learned Python and HTML/CSS, been introduced to Java and SQL and have attended and contributed to a Combinatorial Games conference at UNE.
In my spare time I enjoy learning new programming languages, cross country skiing, cooking and solving Rubik’s cubes.
