Last month, Skolkovo University had its official East Ring Campus opening. Celebrated with students and faculty from all over the world, SkolTech is the University’s new hub and center of research life with various departments referred to as CREIs (Centers for Research Entrepreneurship and Innovation) beginning to find their permanent homes on the new campus.

This inauguration marked the completion of the first phase of the laboratory construction which includes the Center for Design Manufacturing & Material and Computational Data-Intensive Science & Engineering. A new HPC Data Center, Workshop Space and Advanced Imaging Facilities are also underway. The “ring” structures, which are highlighted by the wood architectural fins are dedicated to various academic support functions and are also ready for occupancy.
