In an ever-evolving profession, our advancing staff enriches the work and culture at PAYETTE while cultivating the talent, creativity and growth among the very project teams they make up. Today we celebrate Susan Blomquist’s promotion to Senior Associate.
Susan jointed PAYETTE in 2004 and has performed significant roles in healthcare projects for a variety of clients, including Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Wing Memorial Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
She was promoted to Associate in 2013 and has led multiple highly technical complex renovations for these institutions. She was instrumental in the Fifth XiangYa Hospital design competition, leading the planning of ambulatory care, emergency departments and technical integration. Additionally, Susan has worked on clinical fit-out planning for Boston Children’s Hospital Waltham and led the LEED effort for both the Boston Children’s Hospital Mandell Building and the project on the Waltham campus.
She continues to provide in-house leadership including organizing internal presentations; speaking at ArchitectureBoston Expo, and is finishing her first year on the Boston Society of Architects Honors & Awards Committee. Susan received her M. Arch degree from the University of Virginia in 2001.
