We are proud to announce the launch of five new video tutorials of our publicly available SkinDesigner plugin for Grasshopper. Narrated by our Head of Design Technology Innovation Santiago Garay, the tutorials walk through the basic principles and usage of the application, from installation to the generation of complex dynamic panelized facades.
In the fifth and latest tutorial, the video concludes with a special appearance by PAYETTE Building Scientist Chris Mackey and co-founder of the Ladybug plugin for environmental design. Chris shows how to use SkinDesigner with Ladybug to generate a façade that is responsive to the quantities of helpful vs harmful solar energy hitting a building massing.
All of the videos can be found on the PAYETTE YouTube channel. The videos are accompanied by a series of complete example files that can be viewed and downloaded on the hydrashare platform.
