Colleges and Universities are challenged with limited space for new buildings, shrinking funding, and a generation of aging “Sputnik Era” science and engineering facilities. Renovating, repurposing or adding onto existing facilities can be efficient, cost effective and sustainable solutions for next generation science and engineering. A lively panel discussion with project examples and tales from the trenches will address how these institutions reinterpreted perceived constraints into programmatic synergies and design opportunities, and proper planning and analysis led to maximizing return-on-investment.
