On behalf of our long-time Principal Ian Adamson, we are pleased to announce the Ian Adamson and Faith Baum Scholarship for Study Abroad in the Department of Architecture at Penn State.
Established by J. Ian Adamson (’75 B.S. Arch) and Faith Baum, consideration for this endowed scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students majoring in architecture who are participating in an international study abroad/experience and who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
After many years of supporting the Department of Architecture with annual gifts through PAYETTE, Ian and Faith, Ian’s wife, have decided to personally endow a scholarship for students traveling board in their fourth year of study. Both Ian and Faith believe that travelling, seeing architecture and experiencing different cultures rounds out an architectural education and helps one develop a more universal view of life. Additionally, as the cost of a college education increases, Ian and Faith wanted to create the opportunity to assist young students afford this experience without additional financial burden.
Both Ian and Faith’s careers in architecture have been an exciting journey of discovery and travels together – in the U.S. and abroad.
