Maine Home & Design featured our Bates College new Science Center project in the August 2018 Issue. The building will create a new home and strengthen the science and STEM programs at the college.
The new Science Center will house programs for biology, chemistry, and neuroscience, as well as shared laboratory space. Working with the faculty and STEM-facilities planning committee, the design will encourage interactive research and study
PAYETTE Principal-in-Charge Bob Schaeffner explains, “The idea is that anyone on this side of campus would find it attractive to go there to study. Even the circulation system within the building will support community, with a grand staircase and single-corridor floor plan keeping occupants in a common traffic stream.”
