PAYETTE Promotions: Associates Part 1

We are a highly collaborative practice, focused on architecture for science and healthcare. It is through our firm’s collective intelligence and desire for inquiry that we have established a practice of innovation that pushes programmatic, sustainability and design boundaries. Our firm has a long tradition of investing in talent at every level and today, it is with great pleasure, that we announce the advancement of the firm’s newest Associates and Managers. James Baer, AIA, LEED AP
Promoted to Associate

Jimmy joined PAYETTE in 2013. While at PAYETTE, he has been an important part of the success of projects at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania State University and Chelsea Soldiers’ Home.

Jimmy received his M.Arch and B.Arch from Wentworth Institute of Technology. 

Stephanie Balsam, AIA
Promoted to Associate

Stephanie joined PAYETTE in 2017 with over ten years of experience and is currently working on our project at the National Coast Guard Museum.

Stephanie received her M.Arch degree from Columbia University and her B.S. from Providence College. 

Tom Beresford, AIA, LEED AP
Promoted to Associate

Tom joined PAYETTE in 2018. Prior to PAYETTE, Tom worked at NADAA for nine years, and is currently working on our project at Chelsea Soldiers’ Home. He received his M.Arch degree from UCLA and his Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Brown University.

Adam Blood
Promoted to Associate

Adam joined PAYETTE in 2018 with over ten years of experience. He was part of our successful study at Purdue University and is currently working on our project for the National Coast Guard Museum.

Adam received his M.Arch and B.S. degrees from Norwich University.

Carolyn Booth
Promoted to Associate

Carolyn joined PAYETTE in 2018. She has made an immediate impact at PAYETTE, contributing to projects at Hengqin Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She received her M.Arch and B.S. from Roger Williams University.

Nathan Butt, AIA, LEED AP
Promoted to Associate

Nathan joined PAYETTE in 2018 with over 15 years of experience. Since joining the firm, Nathan has contributed to projects at Boston Children’s Hospital, Hengqin Hospital and the University of Hartford.

Nathan received his B.Arch from the University of Miami.

Seth Clarke, AIA
Promoted to Associate

Seth joined PAYETTE in 2017 with nearly 15 years of experience. He is currently the Project Manager for projects at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, Cape Cod Community College and Massasoit Community College.

Seth received his B.Arch and B.A. degrees from Rice University.

Kerry Drake, AIA
Promoted to Associate

Kerry joined PAYETTE in 2013. She has contributed to multiple large-scale studies and programming efforts including projects at the University of Chicago, Cornell University and the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of her project work, Kerry remains passionate about post occupancy analysis and has completed multiple POEs for completed PAYETTE projects.

Kerry received her M.Arch degree from the New School of Architecture and Design and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of California at San Diego.
