On Saturday, October 27, 2012 Connecticut College held the Dedication of the Science Center at New London Hall. The Science Center opened for the Fall 2012 semester in August. While the building was programmed for the Biology, Botany and Computer Science departments, 16 different departments are teaching classes in the building this semester! The social spaces in the ‘link’ connecting the existing building to the addition were instantly populated with students and faculty after the building opened.
Dean of the Faculty, Roger Brooks wrote of the building, “People seem to have an instinctive and almost physical overwhelmingly positive reaction to the building, no matter where they enter.”
