We are pleased to announce we have been selected to design Salem State University’s new Science Center. This new state-of-the-art science teaching facility will be located adjacent to the Meier Hall Academic Building at Salem State University (SSU). This project will provide the opportunity to upgrade the science teaching facilities at SSU in order to reinforce a science pedagogy which fosters collaboration and increases interaction for programs in biology, chemistry, physics and health sciences. The project will tie the new labs into the existing Meier Hall Academic Building, either through an addition or construction of a separate building.
SSU currently enrolls approximately 7,200 undergraduate students and 2,500 graduate students on multiple campus sites. In the sciences, they have over 400 students in biology and over 1000 in the STEM disciplines. This is a great opportunity to improve the quality of their laboratory spaces to support modern teaching pedagogies.
