We all know the classic furniture pieces by heart: an Eames Lounge, the Womb Chair, a Florence Knoll Desk … the list goes on. These pieces are often imitated but never truly duplicated and their allure has spanned the decades, never falling victim to fickle design trends. We are currently in the most exciting part of the design calendar, when all of the manufacturers are gearing up for their new introductions at Neocon in June. So in 50 years, what pieces released today will be considered “classics”? I’ve taken a stab at compiling some of the most beautiful new pieces from recent years.
