Earlier this month George Washington University celebrated the opening of the Milken Institute School of Public Health. The 161,100 GSF building is located on Washington Circle and houses some of the nation’s best known leaders from across the public and private health policy sectors. May 15 marked the official building opening with tours of the building, a live jazz band and a ribbon cutting ceremony in the atrium witnessed by hundreds of attendees watching from multiple vantage points on all levels. The stairs criss-cross the atrium, which one alumna, Abby Wolfe, likened to the Hogwarts stairs from the Harry Potter series. The Dean, the President of the University and Michael Milken spoke at the event. It was very exciting to see people exploring the building for the first time.
