In Flight Discovery

Imagine my surprise when, on a routine business trip, I was flipping through the October 2014 issue of U.S. Airways Magazine and stumbled on a number of PAYETTE projects included in the Association of American Cancer Institute’s section. This series of articles covers efforts to eradicate cancer from how the AACI supports federal funding for cancer research to collaborative world-class research. PAYETTE designed the Medical Education and Research Facility at the University of Iowa College of Medicine (p. 120), the Wallace Tumor Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (pg. 128) and the Research Building at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (pg. 151). It was very cool to see our projects included in a series of articles about the who, what, where and how of cancer research.
