The Path to Licensure: How to Best Support Your Interns

Engaging, educating and investing in emerging professionals are essential to sustaining the architectural profession. How do firms proactively invest in young designers and develop leaders? PAYETTE’s Young Designers Core (YDC) Co-Chairs, Hilary Barlow and Jenny Ratner along with PAYETTE’s Architect Licensing Advisor, Will Stattman, will discuss PAYETTE’s successful strategies for supporting emerging professionals in next week’s AIA webinar. The webinar, The Path to Licensure: How to Best Support Your Interns is a free, 60-minute online webinar for AIA members and design firms interested in exploring ways to provide licensure support to their staff and the benefits of doing so.

Engaging and investing in young designers positively impacts firm culture and encourages professional development. Awarded the AIA IDP Outstanding Firm Award, PAYETTE provides many different opportunities for professional development. For over fifteen years, PAYETTE’s YDC has fostered a culture of mentorship at PAYETTE. The robust program focuses on professional development through educational events that target knowledge sharing, licensure and community-building.

The panelists will explore progressive methods in empowering staff and enhancing their performance by supporting the path to licensure.
