Façade Update: Northeastern University ISEC

Our project at Northeastern University, the ISEC, is making tremendous progress throughout construction. The unitized façade has been installed to close the building for winter and the team has started installing the secondary sun shading systems on the lab bar. The profiles of the metal panel and sun shade rod system were designed to visually merge depending on your relationship to the building.

This dynamic façade creates ephemeral conditions that shift the reading between solid and transparent, screen and surface as you move around the building. We tested this as much as we could in the design but are finally getting to experience it and it works!
