Since joining Payette in 2010, Liz has worked on a number of projects including the Pathology Laboratory Renovation at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Liz has also been a key team member on three new research buildings at the National University of Ireland in Galway and the Spinal Cord Injury Care Facility and Mental Health Outpatient Clinic at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Brockton. She received her B.Arch. in 2010 from Syracuse University. Liz was also Co-Chair of Payette’s Young Designers Core from 2011-2013.
The construction of full-scale mock-ups for undertaking medical simulations is an essential part of our design process.
Our in-house fabrication team, equipped with 3D printers, woodworking tools and CNC milling equipment, facilitates the creation of full-scale mock-ups of complex clinical spaces. We have found that mock-ups of spaces such as patient and operating rooms are invaluable for staff, leadership and other stakeholders to understand all aspects of the space beyond what is just shown in two-dimensional documents.
Visit our most recent blog for more info on our healthcare mockup design process (link in bio!).
