On Monday, our thirteen OpenLAB students reached another major milestone with their final review.
Set along the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, six student teams proposed new buildings for the remaining parcels, working collectively as an urban suture to heal the frayed edges left by the Central Artery. Through strategies of infill, layering, grafting, framing, and placemaking, the projects explore how architecture can reconnect neighborhoods, reframe the public realm, and complete the Greenway’s unfinished transformation—asking how architecture can repair the city.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and congratulations to all of the students on a wonderful semester!
