The Chicago Tribune architectural critic, Pulitzer Prize winner Blair Kamin, reviews the three finalists in Northwestern University’s competition to design a new Biomedical Research Building for the Feinberg School of Medicine. The University unveiled the design proposals for the new Medical Research Center on Friday. PAYETTE collaborated with Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture on one of the entries. The article highlights PAYETTE / Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill entry’s “towering, light-filled atrium” and the scheme’s floor plans, which he called “carefully or colorfully worked out.” Kamin reviewed all three entries.
