PAYETTE Principal and Director of Building Science, Andrea Love has been paired to mentor Sinan Goral, a student at Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture, in the first-class of the American Institute of Architectural Students CRIT Scholar program. The research-based fellowship program aims to support student research and will serve as an exclusive opportunity for students to receive further guidance in their own research.
Sinan’s research is focused on how the integration of mycelium with the available housing resources and materials of a developing region could remediate local environments, heighten the quality of life and provide both long and short term solutions to housing in these regions.
She is one of seven students selected from a competitive pool of applicants, and each will receive $1,000 in funding for research. Learn more about the AIAS CRIT Scholar program.
