PAYETTE is thrilled to be featured in Architect Magazine’s Carbon Issue, published this month. This important issue, guest edited by Architecture 2030, is a call to action on climate change to the architectural community.
The first article, “Using Data to Create Tech Tools”, makes note of data tools developed by both PAYETTE’s Space Strategies and Building Design Groups. Andrea Love is quoted, and the Building Science Group’s Glazing and Winter Comfort Tool is featured as an example of how the development of open source tools is advancing the architectural profession. An image of the Carl J. Shapiro Science Center at Brandeis University is also included in the article.
A second article in the issue, “Five Construction Details to Reduce Embodied and Operational Carbon”, features the curtainwall system at Tufts University’s Science and Engineering Complex. Andrea Love is also quoted.
