Jess joined PAYETTE in 2018 with extensive healthcare experience. Currently, she is the Project Manager for all of PAYETTE’s work at Yale New Haven Health’s two campuses—Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, CT and Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island. This includes leading multiple teams through design and construction on extensive complex renovations for Emergency Departments, Diagnostic Imaging and Surgical Services, among others. Jess is also responsible for the design of seven resident floors in the new net zero Skilled Nursing Facility for the Veterans’ Home in Holyoke.
Jess is the Co-Chair for the Healthcare Group, working on several initiatives and knowledge sharing within PAYETTE’s Healthcare Studio. She is also leading the Aging and Space Research Group, focusing on design spaces for those with visual impairments. Jess is the former Co-Chair of PAYETTE’s Young Designers Core and is active in our Women in Design Group, including participating in several panel discussions.
