LEED Fellows are best-of-the-best in green building design, engineering and development.
PAYETTE is pleased to announce that Andrea Love AIA, Director of Building Science, has been named a 2015 LEED Fellow by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). This year’s 35 Fellows are being honored for their outstanding work as LEED Professionals and for the significance of their contributions to the green building community at large. The LEED Fellow designates the most exceptional professionals and it is the most prestigious designation awarded from GBCI.
To be selected, LEED Fellows are nominated by their peers, undergo an extensive portfolio review, must have at least 10 years of experience in the green building industry and hold a LEED AP with specialty credential, among other requirements. The evaluation process is carried out by the LEED Fellow evaluation committee.
“Andrea has been a force at PAYETTE ever since she arrived in 2011. She has built our Building Science Group into one of the signature strengths of our practice and has shaped high performance and beauty into a unified whole.” – Kevin Sullivan FAIA, CEO/President of PAYETTE
Andrea is devoted to the green building movement and has become a national leader in the sustainable design dialogue across the AIA and the USGBC. Andrea’s research and presentations are unparalleled in terms of educating architecture professionals. She has awoken a community of complacent designers, calling for action and arming them with resources that they can understand and communicate back to their respective constituents. Andrea’s building performance analyses guides both the design and decision-making process. Her high performance strategies backed with solid research keep projects moving forward toward achievement of aggressive energy goals. Aside from her technical knowledge, skills and research, her participation with numerous sustainability initiatives demonstrates her leadership and commitment to advocacy to truly transform the market and set policy benchmarks that drive the change necessary in many communities, such as her involvement with the Net Zero Task Force in Cambridge.
The 2015 LEED Fellows will be recognized in Washington, DC at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, which is being held Nov.18-20, 2015. The nomination period for the 2016 LEED Fellows class will open in January. For more information about the LEED Fellow, click here.
