We are pleased to announce that our website redesign received an award from SMPS Boston’s Awards for Marketing Communications and Achievements.

Each year, SMPS Boston invites firms to submit entries for marketing, communications and marketing achievements. In order to encompass all aspects of the profession of marketing, awards are given in multiple categories including corporate identity, social media and internal communications. Firms from all around Massachusetts attended the annual Awards Gala last night to honor the recipients who have made outstanding contributions to the industry. The website category allows for firms to submit either external or internal websites that promote the firm or has been launched by a firm for a specific project.

Our objective was to reposition the firm’s online identity with a full visual refresh and rewrite of content to cohesively reflect the firm’s evolution and industry presence. Our in-house creative team envisioned a website that was vibrant, lively, and reflective of the dynamic life of the firm. Our team evaluated 15 competitors’ websites and 15 companies beyond the AEC industry for inspiration and to understand current visual techniques and UX present in web design. Our research culminated in creating a layout that moves. Through the use of crisp video, time-lapse sequences, parallax scroll within image banners, accordions that open and collapse, bright magenta image overlays when hovering over a project tile, yellow highlights when hovering over linked text and other graphic features, the site responds to the user as they browse. The site is responsive to adapt to screen size, but also highly responsive to users with tactile moments of feedback to encourage deeper exploration.

We highlighted the best and most recent work in our portfolio as well as the people behind them, while offering users a glimpse into how we collaborate, think and embrace our values. This new site embodies our firm’s values and how we work – creativity and innovation, attention to detail, insatiable curiosity and the fusion of design and performance.
