Jennifer Hegarty, our Director of Marketing, was recently featured in a member spotlight on the SMPS Boston blog. In the interview, she shares her experience being an active member of the community at SMPS, an organization dedicated to creating business opportunities within the AEC industry. Jennifer was named Emerging Marketing Professional of the Year in 2007 and served as the Secretary of their Executive Board from 2012 – 2014.
At Payette, Jennifer oversees the firm’s marketing and business development efforts. Her approach to our proposal and interview process is both thorough and collaborative, involving not only her department but also the entire firm’s resources to execute effective marketing strategies. Jennifer’s leadership and expertise have been instrumental in communicating Payette’s commitment to sustainability, innovation and collaboration.

Northeastern EXP features an organic pinwheel design, shaping research and classroom neighborhoods with shared community spaces radiating from the core to define each area. The building façade was tuned to achieve a 78% reduction in peak solar heat gain and a 62% reduction in cumulative solar radiation leading to energy use reductions and reduced mechanical system sizing. The use of stainless steel further leads to an embodied carbon reduction of almost one million tons when compared to aluminum while the natural stainless surface reflects light in a natural and warm tone giving the building an inherent energy.
