In an ever-evolving profession, our advancing staff enriches the work and culture at PAYETTE while cultivating the talent, creativity and growth among the very project teams they make up. Today we celebrate Shaun Morris’ promotion to Associate.
By the time Shaun joined PAYETTE in 2014, his professional experience included a wide range of project types including cultural centers, museums, multi- and single-family housing, primary schools, universities and labs, most notably Golkin Hall at the University of Pennsylvania with KVA and Virchow 16 with RMA for Novartis in Basel. Shaun’s passion for design was also evident in design competitions and advocacy projects, such as community center / toilets in informal neighborhoods in Mumbai and open-source housing for the emerging middle class in Ghana.
Since joining the firm, Shaun has been a key contributor on a range of projects such as the Robinson Hall renovation and the Science and Engineering Complex for Tufts University, the Aga Kahn University Office Tower and masterplan and Boston Children’s Hospital in Waltham. Shaun also played a major role on the winning entry for the Fifth XiangYa Hospital design competition. Shaun brings a wide range of skillsets to his project work, including strategic planning, design thinking, parametric and information modeling, advanced visualization and a key sense of the relationship of detailing to the overall design idea.
Shaun graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a B. Arch in 2001 and a M. Arch and Urban Culture in 2005 from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.
