Find out why PAYETTE is participating in the 2030 Commitment in the Building Green feature, 2030 Culture: Six Selfish Reasons to Commit. Our Director of Building Science, Andrea Love discusses the reasoning and the positive impact the commitment created for our architectural practice.
It's been a focus and refinement of how we've been doing things. Bit by bit, we're working our way down.

Andrea also explains that lab projects over the last decade at PAYETTE have shown a huge downward trend in energy consumption which occurred in two major steps. The first was the introduction of chilled beams and the second step has been a gradual whittling away of energy use over the five years of the 2030 Commitment.
At PAYETTE, we have hospitals and research labs, the most intensive building types out there, so we have a particular responsibility to minimize our impact. The nice thing about 2030 is setting these goals. If there's a goal, we can try to meet it.
