PAYETTE Building Scientist Chris Mackey will be leading a discussion on parametric environmental modeling at Foster + Partners in London on Wednesday, March 21.
What you have been told about parametric environmental modeling is wrong!
Most building performance analysis programs are designed to support a linear design process which segregate one’s thoughts in discontinuous steps. In reality, building design is similar to any other creative thought process and requires exploration, discovery and inherent unpredictability. The flexibility of parametric modelling promises a large step towards enabling this creative process. However, several misconceptions about parametric modelling have hindered the practice from utilizing it to its full potential.
Foster + Partners is hosting the on Environmental Building Design in an Iterative Design Process by Ladybug Tools lead by Mostapha Sadeghipour Roudsari and PAYETTE’s Christopher Mackey.
The presentation investigates how environmental design can be used to better support an iterative design process. Using case-studies, it illustrates lessons learnt from the development of Ladybug Tools for Grasshopper and DynamoBIM. This CPD also includes a preview of future tools currently in development.
This event is in conjunction with Ladybug Tools London Workshops 2018 which will be held in London On March 19-24. Secure your seat today!
