Women In Design

Women in Design is an internal employee led group that serves to promote the professional development and advancement of women at PAYETTE through regular dialogues that encourage teamwork, collaboration, and learning in an atmosphere of collegiality. The group includes women professionals with all levels of experience, in all roles, who come together for discussion, fellowship, and exchange of design and professional ideas. Since the groups founding in 2001 the primary goal of the group is to provide a forum for professional interests and common concerns in order to advance the professional careers of women in the firm.

The group seeks to provide a network for mentorship and career development. The group plans events that allow for opportunities for informal mentorship. Serves as a platform which is done by highlighting individual.

– Enhance individual strengths and encourage opportunities for education, success, and advancement in the firm and in the profession

– Promote teamwork, collegiality, and cross-studio interaction

– Organize regular presentations and dialogues that provide broader perspectives on current issues in design, detailing, construction, firm / project management.

– Address issues of concern to women in the field in a way that can include all members of the firm

– Develop awareness and interaction with other professional organizations in the region
