PAYETTE Building Scientist Chris Mackey is participating in a panel discussion on sustainable urban planning for the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science at Northeastern University on April 10 with the goal of inspiring the future generation of STEM professionals.
The college-preparatory exam school for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics program integrated with Humanities enables the students to reach their full potential and become leaders who will shape the direction of society. This year’s study is focused on renewable energy and the group is collecting and analyzing data the high school’s energy consumption and making recommendations on how to turn the school into a clean energy school.
During the event, each panel member will give a brief narrative on their specific profession and how it plays a part in sustainable urban planning. Chris has worked as a Building Scientist at PAYETTE since 2015, after graduating from MIT’s Building Technology program. He is a lead developer of the Ladybug Tools plugins for environmental design, which he regularly applies to our projects at PAYETTE and teaches to thousands of professionals and students across the globe.
